Our PADI Pro Underwater Cinematography speciality offers the first evercompreshensive PADI professional underwater videography training. Teaching all the skills you will need to capture professional level underwater moving images.
Taking the principles from the PADI Underwater Videography course and diving into the techniques of capturing great underwater images we have developed our exclusive course for PADI (minimum 30 dive) Professional Level Underwater Cinematography specialty. This course teaches the skills required to produce top quality camera work in the water by systematically building on dive skills whilst refining buoyancy, awareness and propulsion techniques.
In the first part of our Professional Underwater Videography course you will gain hands on experience learning the skills to film produce, direct and edit your own work. You will be taught the practical and theoretical skills of filming underwater and on land to understand the technical requirements of each shot and how to edit your footage into aesthetic products. Giving you the tools to produce top quality work.
Focus will then move to the aspects of planning your production, shots and equipment management. You will concentrate perfecting your technical skills so that you then have skills to hone and develop your story telling skills. You will begin to pursue your particular areas of interest, gaining the benefits and vocational experience of training in a professional environment. Advanced modules in camera and post-production techniques are taught throughout this phase of the course and we offer opportunities to work with our professional teams at our partnered dive resorts and on projects with clients.
The elements of the course content are flexible and can be tailored to you experience and learning goals.
The course fees include underwater video equipment rental, at least 30 dives, use of the production studio, access to the libraries and PADI Certification.
To receive the PADI Pro Underwater Cinematography certification you must be a Divemaster or above.
