The Solo diver course is a serious consideration for all those undertaking underwater videography training, you will gain confidence and become more self reliant in the water, offering you greater freedom as you work.
Conducted by Technical diving instructors who have experience in self and team rescue in some of the most challenging environments in the world. This course is designed to train divers about the proper procedures and hazards for participating solo diving activities.
Fast becoming one of the standards for independent diving practice, the solo diver program teaches experienced recreational divers how to safely dive independently of a dive buddy or works to strengthen your buddy team skills. The course focuses strongly on proper dive planning, diving within personal limitations, accident prevention as well as the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for diving solo.
The course also includes procedures for diving with a secondary air source, redundant air supply use, understanding breathing gas requirements, independent equipment checks and advanced emergency procedures.
Upon successful completion of this course graduates may engage in planned solo diving activities utilizing a redundant air supply without direct supervision.
To participate in this course you MUST be a minimum age of twenty one (21). Have at least the Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent and a minimum of one hundred (100) logged dives.
