Light is an energy; it is a wave; it is a force …. It illuminates our world it allows us to “see” and learning to see the light is the most important skill any photographer, cinematographer or videographer can gain.

And whilst we all may see it differently it always behaves in the same way. Understanding these behaviors not only helps you to see the light properly but also to manipulate it effectively.

After all what we are doing when we are imaging is recording light. And manipulating the way the viewer perceives it. Learning to recognize and use the optimal lighting strategies whether you are working with natural or artificial/added light how are you going to create that all important look.
